After years of tweets and posts on the spiritual nature of Christian men, I created a simple website to take this writing to the next level. Although Twitter and Facebook are effective platforms for reaching and building an audience, they do have their limitations. I had always intended to create a website where I could post full-length articles on a variety of topics for Christian men. I secured the domain RighteousMen.com a few years ago and it just sat there in my hosting account with so much potential.
Not wanting to delay it any further, I went forward with a very simple WordPress theme called Dispatch (free version) and made very few modifications to it. I wrote the first post, titled “Who Is Righteous?” and promoted it on Facebook and Twitter on 7/3/16. This project is especially close to my heart as it hits upon the nature of God, the Bible, manhood and Christian living…subjects which are at the core of my identity. I wear many hats and I’m interested in many subjects…but more than anything else, I’m a follower of Jesus Christ and his teachings.
I believe the world has no workable solution for the ills of humanity. Governments, societies and religions have struggled in vain throughout history to evolve their people to higher states of existence. But the culmination of all their efforts is what he see in the news today; corruption, hatred, poverty and war.
All along, the answers for mankind at every level have been right there in the humble teachings of Jesus. There is so much to say on this topic that it requires a website of its own. My hope is that RighteousMen.com will be a source of inspiration and encouragement for those who already follow the Christian faith.
